The recoil spring is rated for 10,000 rounds.

If I want to purchase a spare to keep on hand where or who can supply that?

I know BT Guiderods will use the existing spring to make a stainless one, but I would prefer just to send a new one to be converted and keep an oem one.

5 pins must be removed for a detail strip. 2 in the frame and 3 in the slide. The one in the frame above the trigger guard is a solid notched pin. The other 4 are roll pins.

Looks like the roll pins used have the following specifications:

    3x26mm ISO 8750 - on frame near grip - part 5c

3x24mm ISO 8748 - the rear most pin on the slide - part 2b
3x20mm ISO 8748 - Middle of the slide near ejection port - part 2a
    2x12mm ISO 8748 - extractor pin - part 6a

This info could come in handy in finding replacements in the USA.

Great info Firewire,we have ALOT of roll pins where I work but most are smaller or real big.Need to check and see if we have those sizes and hopefully I can put some back for spares.I work on alot of Bosch gov. covers and Yanmar and they used alot of roll pins but also a ton of "C" clips as well.

Better to throw it on a storage site like photobucket and then link to it in your post with the insert "Img" tab when posting. The image is embedded into your post and it keeps the cost of hosting forum down ;)
